What Happened to Grace and Lace After Shark Tank?
What is Grace and Lace?
Grace & Lace is a firm that strives to be a sought-after brand of high-quality, on-trend knitwear and clothing that also provides an amazing customer experience. They, too, are having a huge influence and changing the world.
Melissa Hinnant and her husband founded the firm. The first pair of boot socks did not appear to be a significant issue.
In fact, she had no desire to make a second pair until she went shopping with them and was repeatedly approached by females who wanted to know where she got them.
The socks had a sassy lace top that added interest to the area between the top of the boot and the leg of the pants.
Who is the inventor of Grace and Lace?
Melissa Hinnant and her husband invented the firm. Melissa spent her summer in India among the poorest of the poor, rather than relaxing poolside as a teenager in 1999.
She worked to help those in need and, most importantly, to share Christ’s love with orphans and those who had never met Him.
She sobbed and prayed as she walked away, wishing she could do more. Their mission is to rescue these orphaned children from the streets and give them with a safe place to live, food to eat, clean well water to drink, clothes to wear, and, most importantly, a Christian education.
Melissa came up with the idea after sadly losing her baby daughter after giving birth prematurely in 2011.
She made her first pair of boot socks in 2011. When people kept asking where she got them, she decided to sell them on Etsy, where they immediately sold out. In two years, she has sold over 50,000 pairs of her boot socks.
They chose to cooperate with Angel Accommodate in 2013, with a percentage of every sale going toward the development of orphanages in India that will accommodate 50 orphans each.
The response to their brand much exceeded their expectations, and as a result, they were able to create two orphanages in the summer of 2014 and another five in 2015, rescuing almost 160 children from the streets!
In 2016, they took over as directors of a school in India that houses around 400 male orphans. In 2017, we opened their first Freedom Home, freeing 65 girls from the horrors of human trafficking. In 2019, we plan to open five more orphanages.
Melissa and Rick were no strangers to the corporate world. Melissa came from a long line of entrepreneurs, and Rick was a serial and successful entrepreneur who had founded a dozen businesses.

Kevin offers $175,000 for a 20% ownership until they recover all of the money, at which point the equity drops by 20%.
Barbara has given $87,500 for a 5% stake and was searching for a second shark to join her.
Robert was overjoyed that he offers $175,000 for a 10% stake in the company, which was exactly what they want, but he wants them to make a decision before hearing from the other Sharks.
Mark rushed in with a $175,000 offer for 10% stock, which he discussed with Robert and was exactly what they asked for, and he wanted a yes or no.
Barbara altered her proposal. $175,000 for 10% equity shares, however half of that was in the form of a credit line.
The Hinnant persevere and eventually strike a deal with Barbara for $175,000 in exchange for 10% stock shares; however half of that cash is a credit line. Barbara, Rick, and Melissa give her a firm shake, and the deal was done.
